Saara Raapana

Writer, Teacher & Editor

Session: WE CAN! Working Towards Equity in Rural Communities through Female-led Artistic Interventions and Creative Action (Friday 11am – 12:15pm)

Saara Myrene Raappana is a writer, teacher, editor, and communities member living in SW Minnesota. She was born and grew to her full height in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Respected third parties have published two chapbooks (Milk Tooth, Levee, Fever and A Story of America Goes Walking) and many poems-worth of her work in journals, anthologies and literarily-inclined websites. She has recently felt a stitch in her heart to write fiction, and the good taxpayers of MN have seen fit to fund this notion with a 2019 Artist Initiative grant. For more info, go to saaramyrene.com
