Friday, October 4

9:00 – 10:30am: Opening welcome and plenary: Creative People Power in the Northwoods (Reif Performing Arts Center)

11:00am – 12:15pm: Breakout Session A (Reif Performing Arts Center, MacRostie Art Center, Old Central School)

12:15 – 1:30pm: Lunch (Reif Performing Arts Center)

1:30 – 3:15pm: Afternoon plenary: Rural Prosperity through Arts and Culture (Reif Performing Arts Center)

3:45 – 5:00pm: Breakout Session B (Reif Performing Arts Center, MacRostie Art Center, Old Central School, VFW Post 1720)

4:00 – 7:00pm: First Friday Art Walk (Downtown Grand Rapids)

5:30 – 7:30pm: Dinner: Food Trucks (ticket required) & Live Music (Old Kremer’s Parking Lot)


Saturday, October 5

9:00 – 10:15am: Breakout Session C (Reif Performing Arts Center, MacRostie Art Center, Old Central School)

10:45am – 12:30pm: Closing plenary: New Voices/New Futures: Arts-Based Rural Youth Development (Reif Performing Arts Center)

12:30pm – 2pm: Lunch/closing reception, music by Sam Miltich (Reif Performing Arts Center)


Most events take place at the Reif Performing Arts Center unless otherwise noted.

Please note that some breakout sessions will take place in downtown locations (the MacRostie Art Center, Old Central School and the VFW). If you plan on attending these offsite sessions, make sure to plan ahead to drive, ride the RAC Summit’s shuttle bus, or walk. See map below to see where RAC Summit activities are taking place.
