Bryan Thao Worra is the Lao Minnesotan Poet Laureate, and president of the international Science Fiction and Fantasy Poetry Association. Previously representing the nation of Laos during the 2012 Poetry Parnassus of the London Summer Games, he is the first Lao American to hold an NEA Fellowship in Literature (2009) and is a 2019 Joyce Award recipient. He is the author of 10+ books including the recently released “Before We Remember We Dream,” (2019) from Sahtu Press. He recently presented at the Smithsonian Asian American Literature Festival in Washington DC demonstrating excerpts from the forthcoming Laomagination 45 exhibit.
