Renae Youngs
Director of Research and Evaluation, Minnesota State Arts Board (St. Paul, Minnesota)
Session: More Than Just a Show: Power, Planning, and Impact (Saturday, 9 – 10:15am)
Renae Youngs is Director of Research and Evaluation at the Minnesota State Arts Board. In that role, she works to document the impact of the arts across the state. Renae has worked as a research and evaluation consultant for institutions ranging from art museums to zoos, helping clients to clarify their goals, design effective programs and exhibitions, learn about their visitors or audiences, and document the processes and outcomes of their work. Renae’s professional interests include evaluation capacity building and the use and usability of evaluation findings: she advocates, to anyone who will listen, for making good use of good data. She is also active in professional service with the American Alliance of Museums and serves on the board of the Visitor Studies Association.
